The College Crest | | |
The College Crest is a lotus shaped shield with letters APACC inscribed on it. The letters stand for Archbishop Powathil Assumption Community College. The motto REACHING THE UNREACHED epitomizes the concept of the Community College viz. the attempt of the educated and privileged to reach out to the marginalized and disadvantaged. This attempt is based on research and scholarship as is symbolized by the open book in the middle. The wheel that symbolizes both progress and industry conveys the idea of an integrated approach to education, aligning education with employment through industrial collaboration. The bangled hands clasping each other show that the movement is primarily by women, for women and the focus is on women empowerment. The dove with the olive branch shows our aspiration to a new world order of peace, equity and gender equality.
